The Disease of Addiction Breaks Hearts and Hurts Families
The need is critical, and there is no greater time than now to support Herren Project’s life-changing work. Each story is personal. I began my recovery journey during my son Mark's struggle with addiction. I found hope and support through Herren Project support groups, educational resources, and, most importantly, the amazing community.
Sadly, I lost my beautiful boy Mark to the disease of addiction on February 13, 2022. Although Mark is no longer here, my work continues. I intend to share my story to empower others to join me in this fight. It's time to erase the shame and stigma of addiction and help others on their journey to recovery. Recovery IS possible and I don't want others to have to go through what I experienced. I want people to know how Herren Project’s programs and services changed my life.
