In my heart, the Herren Project holds a special place, providing the driving force behind my commitment to run this marathon.

As a therapist, my why in running the marathon for the Herren Project is deeply intertwined with my professional and personal life journey. Every day, I witness the devastating impact of addiction on individuals and their loved ones. It is a relentless battle that requires strength, compassion, and comprehensive support. By participating in this marathon, I aim to extend my therapeutic reach beyond the therapy room, advocating for those struggling with addiction and their families. Personally, my why in running this marathon is also intertwined with supporting my brother. My brother's battle with addiction has been a profound and personal journey, one that has deeply shaped my understanding of the complexities surrounding addiction and recovery. This marathon is not just about running for a cause; it is about strengthening the bond with my brother, reminding him that he is valued and cherished. It is a tangible expression of solidarity, resilience, and hope. By running together, we demonstrate our shared determination to overcome obstacles and build a brighter future.

Running for the Herren Project allows me to bridge the gap between my role as a therapist and an advocate for change. It is a powerful way to raise awareness about the challenges faced by individuals on the path to recovery and to promote the resources and services available to support them. By dedicating myself to this cause, I demonstrate my commitment to breaking the stigma surrounding addiction and offering hope to those who may feel lost or alone.

Supporting my brother and clients through this marathon also amplifies my advocacy efforts as a therapist. It provides a deeply personal perspective on the impact of addiction, the importance of familial support, and the need for accessible resources and treatment options. Through my own experience, I aim to inspire others who may be supporting loved ones battling addiction, reminding them of the power of unconditional love, understanding, and a supportive community.

Together, we run not only for the broader cause of the Herren Project but also to uplift and empower my brother, to celebrate his strength, and to create a ripple effect of awareness, compassion, and healing for all those touched by addiction.Through this marathon, I embody the message that recovery is possible and that support is available. My why lies in empowering individuals to seek help, providing them with a sense of encouragement and inspiration to embark on their own transformative journeys. By running alongside others, I want to remind them that they are not alone and that there is a community of compassionate individuals ready to support and guide them towards a brighter future.

Ultimately, my purpose as a therapist extends beyond the therapy room, and participating in this marathon allows me to channel my passion for helping others into a tangible and impactful endeavor. Together, we can create a world where recovery is celebrated, where every person is seen and heard, and where the journey towards healing is met with compassion, understanding, and unwavering support. #bekindtoyourmind
