Michael Costello passed suddenly on May 20, 2022. His conflict with substance use was sporadic and tumultuous, as he grappled with finding a happy, normal place in this life.
Michael lived with acute anxiety and Tourette syndrome since early childhood, which caused bouts of depression and isolation. His substance use started, like so many others, as a means to cope with emotional pain. While we find comfort knowing Michael's soul is now at peace, it was simply far too soon.
His family urges all who read this to love one another, and find ways to reach out and support someone in your life who may be suffering. Even a phone call, a text, a meal together - can make all the difference.
