My name is Sean and I am in a person in long term recovery. I am grateful to say that recovery and Herren Project has saved my life. This year I am returning to run the Newport 10 miler on behalf of the Herren Project.
Why travel so far to run a 10 mile race? Honestly, it is to be surrounded by amazing Team Herren Project teammates. These connections and relationships mean the world to me. When I was actively drinking, I isolated and had very few, if any, meaningful relationships. In my humble opinion, it is true to connection is the opposite of addiction. My teammates have become like family to me and helped me get through the loss of Thomas. They were so helpful, that I came out the other side a stronger and better man.
Every step will be run for those in recovery and for those out there still struggling that need hope. I struggled with my alcoholism for years and was in and out of the rooms, but the old timers gave me hope that I clung onto like my life depended on it...because it did!
Join me in supporting real change. Let’s support good in the world and make a difference. Help us for HERREN PROJECT
Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for HERREN PROJECT
