Remembering Mark
Help us support others who are seeking recovery!
Mark was a loving, funny, caring and generous son, brother, and friend. He loved sports, particularly the Washington Capitals, March Madness, and the team formerly known as the Washington Redskins. He loved all kinds of music. Most importantly, he fiercely loved his family and his friends.
Mark's struggle with addiction became evident to us in November of 2012. He desperately wanted to be clean and drug-free, but this disease is relentless and pounds away constantly trying to keep its hold. After several attempts at sobriety over the years, Mark's struggle sadly ended in the early morning hours of January 28, 2021, when he was found victim of an accidental overdose. He was 33 years old.
His father, brother, and I feel his absence every single day. We miss him terribly. We know he would want to see others struggling with addiction get the help they need and deserve. Thank you for your donation in memory of Mark.
